Easter Changes Everything
Easter changes EVERYTHING, and yet Easter changes nothing. The reality that the incarnation of our living God, Jesus Christ, was born, walked, taught, healed, loved, transformed, challenged, suffered, died, was buried, and rose again has forever altered the world we inhabit. Death became untrue.
A Constant We Can Count On
On this new Easter Monday, we celebrate the resurrection with this delightful recognition: This is the day that the Lord has made! How good it is to give thanks and to rejoice and be glad in it!
Deep Roots and an Empty Tomb
I will be the first to confess that it does not feel like Easter. Sure, the telltale signs of life are springing up all around to indicate it is that time of year. But the feeling in the air feels a little closer to that of the tomb than the resurrection. But as I look at the brand new roots of this once dead little plant before me, I feel a nudge from creation preaching the gospel to me: that the end is not the end.
