Thursday Daily Prayer

April 30, 2020

Oh God who provides,
You promise that if we seek you, we will find you. 
We are not able to find you in the usual places: 
There is no common cup, no passing of the peace, no shared pews and no sunlight through stained glass.
So we ask that you would show up in our day-to-day, mundane movements.
Show up in a sink full of dishes.
Show up on a daily walk. 
Show up in a pile of laundry. 
Show us community in new ways. 
Give us a sign of peace in this setting too. 
Remind us that you are still here and you are listening to our prayers. 
It is so easy to lose sight of where You are moving and working. 
Still we remember that your love has saved the day and will do it again. 
With open eyes and open hearts we pray,
Amen
