November Mission Moment

The mission of Urban Recipe is “to partner with members and supporters in creating food security, building community, and providing a platform for personal development wile affirming dignity.” Urban recipe has, since 1991, carried out this mission through community food cooperatives. These food co-ops rely on member participation, and this participation is what sets the co-op program apart from other food distribution programs. Urban Recipe’s food co-ops allow members to develop personal skills and become a part of a loving community, while also helping members to have food security.
