Thursday Daily Prayer

May 7, 2020

Oh God who is our refuge,
You alone know what lies ahead while we wrestle with uncertainty.
Help us to trust in your provision as you give us our daily bread. 
When we feel overwhelmed, help us to recognize the portion that is within our control and to trust you with the rest.
We are thankful that with your help, we can name the fears that keep us up at night,
for you know our subconscious thoughts before we do, you remember the dreams that fade from our memories.
We need not bother to hide anything from you or put on a brave face before you.
You know. You knew before we even did. 
So we come before you with boldness and openness and ask that you would work this trial for our good.
Comfort your people, cast out our fears, and restore our tired and weary hearts.
Amen.
