A Prayer of Thanksgiving During Social Distancing

Lord open our eyes to the ways the Earth is shouting your praise
The soft yellow blanket covering cars and patios which means that life is blossoming,
And new life is springing up all around us. 
Thank you for the new rhythms and longer days which allow us time to soak up the new warmth.
Thank you for the space you have given us to breathe a little deeper and sleep a little longer.
While we grieve what we have lost, help us to grieve faithfully, with honesty and with hope.
May we not wish away this time with future plans or with killing time,
But may we make it a true Sabbath, a gift we give joyfully back in service to you and to our neighbor.
