Like a Mighty Wind

It’s the birthday of the Church. Not just our church at First Baptist Decatur, but THE Church.

We call it Pentecost Sunday, and as a part of our broader church tradition, this day is to be a reminder of God’s work in the world through regular people, just like us, and like those who were gathered on that day of Pentecost so long ago.

Like them, we are coming out of a strange time we never could have predicted. And like them, we face new challenges as well as amazing opportunities.

Join us as we share in this special commemoration; and hear with us the amazing tie ins of biblical history, powerful imagery and an exciting future for us all on this special birthday of God’s Church.
