A Testimony of Love

Love is a beautiful emotion. I Corinthians 13, also known as the “Love Chapter,” speaks of our connection to God’s eternal presence in our lives. It is good and right for us to share about love on this Valentine’s Sunday. However, it is also necessary for us to be honest. Love can be very hard.
Today Dr. Jordan has the great honor to share in our sermon time with Dr. Timothy Brown, a long-time (30 year) member of Emanuel AME church in Charleston, SC. Tim has been part of the long and trying journey of the Mother Emanuel’s healing process and their determination to love and to forgive in the aftermath of the horrific murders of nine people, including Rev. Dr. Pinkney, their pastor, following a Wednesday night Bible Study.
