Decatur Avondale Children's Choir to Begin Rehearsals

Now in its 13th year, the Decatur Avondale Children's Choir (DACC) is a community choir for singers 6 to 18 years of age. The DACC is committed to excellence and artistry and presents distinctive choral literature for young singers.

Begun in 2009 with just 27 singers, the DACC has grown to well over 100 members in four ensembles. Director R. Mark Green is thrilled that the Decatur Avondale Children's Choir has a new home here at First Baptist of Decatur. All of the DACC rehearsals and concert performances will be held on our campus.

Rehearsals to begin August 24

The Fall Semester of the Decatur Avondale Children's Choir will begin on Tuesday, August 24th. Due to pandemic restrictions, safety protocols will be in place such as singers being required to wear masks and the first 6 or 7 rehearsals being held outdoors on the front lawn of the church.
