Join us for a fascinating and very timely interview with our own Randall Hampton and Decatur’s Police Chief, Mike Booker. 

As a former resident of Chicago, Randall also was a member of the Black Panthers for a few years. He speaks openly of that time and the behind-scenes reality of the African-American community that white people need to hear. He also offers wisdom for our present-day circumstances. 

Chief Booker speaks openly about our Decatur Police Department’s emphasis on compassion, empathy, and truly working to understand what our community residents are thinking and feeling. He also outlines the Trust Initiative that our Decatur police along with six other departments in Georgia are facilitating. With their efforts, they are creating true partnerships among all citizens. This Trust Initiative is becoming a much-needed model for cities and towns across the nation.
