We’re back together!

Sunday mornings
10:00 a.m.

FBCD Front Lawn

We’re excited to be bringing worship back to the front lawn of First Baptist Church of Decatur!

Here is what we now expect for our gatherings:

  1. Love, joy, enthusiasm, excitement, smiles (still behind our required masks!), fellowship, music, holy interactions, God’s Spirit among us, meaningful worship.

  2. Masks, social distancing (front lawn crop circles will once again guide us), continued care for one another.

  3. Your own lawn chair (if possible; we will have extra chairs for those who need them)

  4. Sunglasses, water bottles, umbrellas, sunscreen, hats (the sun on the front lawn at 10:00 will be on your backs and necks if you are sitting in the congregation).

  5. Flexibility and feedback – many of you have been very helpful in offering your thoughts on how and when it would be safe for us to worship again. We value your input and always seek the best way forward for all of us.

After this long pandemic, with still more caution necessary, we are so grateful to be able to share with you this good news of our return to in-person worship.

We can’t wait to see you on the front lawn at 10:00am on Sunday! Bless you dear friends! And feel free to bring a friend with you on this joyful day!
