This Sunday night, November 3, I am excited to let you know that my friend, Tala Al Raheb, will be our special guest speaker. Tala is currently a PhD student at Emory and is a recent graduate of Candler School of Theology. She also happens to be a Palestinian Christian. She grew up in Bethlehem (the real one!). She is the daughter of another good friend of mine, Rev. Dr. Mitri Raheb, who is the recently retired pastor of Bethlehem Christmas Church right next to the Church of the Nativity in Nativity Square in Bethlehem.
Tala will share about her life and her insights growing up in the land of Jesus, in the land of Palestine, as a pastor's daughter in a fascinating, and in many ways, a tragic, complicated and incredibly beautiful part of the Middle East.
Come with ready to take good notes and ask good questions!
