The Joyful Results of Christmas on Clairemont

What an event! Thanks to the many of you who attended or who made Sunday night's Christmas on Clairemont so incredible. The master of the show, our own Daniel Solberg, said it well when he began listing the multitude of names who made the evening possible. His list included the awesome work by the sound and light and camera folks. Talk about an evening filled with complex timing, music, lighting and visuals! We often take our AV folks for granted, but their complicated jobs Sunday night were just a small indicator of the overall intricate orchestration of Daniel’s work. Not only did he choreograph every moment and every detail. He had the grace to share the fun and the spotlight with so many others on our staff and in our community who also shined bright Sunday night.

So Daniel, on behalf of us all, thanks to you from the bottom of our hearts for allowing us to be part of such a terrific event. It was magnificent, for us and for the broader community. We could just feel the energy emanating, the pride and the sense of joy resonating, and gladness at being together and experiencing a happy reminder of all that we have to be thankful for.

Now I'm excited to hear the final results of our Ukraine offering from Sunday night. Dilshad says it continues to come in online and shows great signs of huge generosity. And again, thanks to Daniel's technological expertise, we were able to pull off the magic of an international conversation with Pastor Andrei in Vinnytsia, Ukraine on our screens in our sanctuary in front of 850 people. Amazing!

We are more than blessed, and how thankful I am to be sharing this fortunate journey with each of you.

Blessings to you all. And on behalf of our entire incredible and extraordinarily talented First Baptist Decatur staff, Merry Christmas! And may the hope, peace, love and joy of this season and of God’s presence birthed among us in Jesus be with you all.

Love,

David
