A Prayer for Deliverance

From Psalm 142:

With my voice, with my whole body, I cry out to you, O Lord, from this cave of isolation.  The strong rocks that surround me keep me safe but cut me off.  I pour out my complaint to you and tell you my trouble because even when my spirit is faint, you know my way.  Look on my right hand and see, O God--there is no one who takes notice of me; no refuge remains; no one cares for me.

So I cry to you, for you hear me even here.  You are my refuge.  You are my portion in this land that seems to only be half-living.  Give heed to my cry, for I feel oh so low in this moment.

Bring me out of this prison, bring us all out, so that we may give thanks to your name in public--in the square--in community once again.  Oh, may the righteous yet again surround me as you deal bountifully with your beloved.

Amen
