Good Digestion at Christmastime

I once thought it was Voltaire who said it; now we aren't so sure. But I like what whoever said it conveyed:

The meaning of life is found in three things: Good fellowship; good food and good digestion.

I agree. The good food and good digestion bit had to be a French guy (or gal). And the fellowship idea is right on target, especially when we consider how expansive the definition of that word can be. Fellowship with one another; fellowship with a broader community; fellowship with God ...

The Christmas season is a good time to hear these words, too. If you are like me, you are attending far too many gatherings with way too much food.

Therefore: May these three concepts mingle together for you during this season in a way that is fresh, hopeful and deeply meaningful. May the food you enjoy and the digestion that follows be fine and satisfying. And may the fellowship you share be rich and sacred. Merry Christmas everyone!

Love,

David
