A Prayer for Humility

God over all creation,
May we never be too prideful to stop learning. 
May we never shut our eyes and close our hearts to the world around us.
And may we never consider ourselves experts to your working and moving in the world.
For your ways are higher than our ways and your thoughts are higher than our thoughts.
And we have so much to learn from you and from the gifts and knowledge you have given others.
May we learn to trust wise counsel as a gift.
May we always strive to grow while we are still breathing.
And may we be humble enough to recognize how small we are in the masterpiece of your creation.
