A Prayer for Peace

Calm our anxious hearts, Oh God,
When the news stirs up fear and stress.
When we feel powerless to help loved ones.
When we are barred from visiting one another. 
When distance keeps us from helping and serving and loving in our usual ways. 
When we feel scared and helpless. 
Give us your peace and a spirit of longsuffering, a patience that endures hardship. 
May we look back on this time and know that it was not wasted,
as you are molding us into the image of your beloved Son. 
Amen
