Thursday Daily Prayer

We pray for the sick: for those diagnosed and undiagnosed,
For those who have other illnesses but are afraid to go to the doctor,
For those who do not have access to the treatments they need,
For those who cannot afford the treatments they need.
We pray for the vulnerable,
May they not be lonely though they may be alone for a while.
We pray for those whose jobs cannot be worked from home.
The medical staff, the delivery drivers, the truckers, the shelf-stockers and factory workers.
We pray for those whose lives have small losses:
lost time, cancellations, longed-for social gatherings, anticipated events, school years cut short.
And we thank you for the small gifts scattered among the loss:
Quiet moments, time with family, chances to rest and take care of our bodies, minds, and spirits.
We thank you for the world that is waking up around us, even as we stay inside.
May it be a reminder of your sustaining love which keeps the world turning,
and the resurrection that awaits us all.

In Jesus' Name,
Amen
